Few (not so) latest cinema

Well...... Somebody said once- i want to be an avid blogger (that's me) and God knows its been a bloggers lifetime since she saw her own blog, leave alone anyone else's.
But then it's never too late to repair the damages... unless of course if they are beyond repair.

Anyway, so what was i doin when i wasn't blogging... watchin movie. Errr watchin CRAPPY MOVIES. I mean whatever has happened to the movie industries across world. Anyway without wasting any more time why don't i give you a quick summary on some of the recent movies that i managed to survive.

  1. Luck by Chance, Dev D, Delhi 6, Gulal - All fall in the same bracket. Bearable. Another common thread that runs through them- New style of narration that actually is interestng in quite many places but after a while it just becomes too much repetitive. Could have been shorter and crisper.

  2. The Reader- Quite deserved the Oscar it was awarded. Initially it might seem a bit slow but then it gains momentum and you really wouldn't wanna leave it midway. Well Kate's ample bosom show is another reason why guys wouldn't wanna leave it midway. Too much of nudity. Otherwise a good movie if you manage to look past Winslet's curves.

  3. Curious Case of Benamin Button- Too long... too slow. Can't comment much on it as I couldn't go beyond 1hr 30 min. Perhaps someone would wanna add to it and give me reasongs strong enought to try and sit through the whole movie all over again. You're welcome.

  4. Confessions of a Shopaholic- Can you believe i actually watched this whole movie in a multiplex... Can you believe i actually watched this movie, multiplex or no multiplex. The girl is ugly and the guy is choooo cute. The movie is so petty, but even petty movie can be fun at times. If you really must watch something of fashion, please go for Devil wears Prada, or any other flick but not this one.

  5. Rachel Getting Married- Sensitive and Slow. If you are a sucker for disturbed family drama coming to terms you sure can watch this. If you are a sucker for Anne Hathaway you have to watch this. She breaks out of her good girl mode so convincingly with this movie, some very good and moving performance. I loved it. But please refrain if you like thrillers, drama or romance. one honest no-frills movie.

  6. Aloo Chaat- The movie that walks away with all the laurels. I couldn't find ticket for anyother show and we just had to watch something. God knows it took some supernatural power on my part to actually bring myself to buy the tickets. The only saving grace was the duration- 2 hrs 15 min. But then then movie did come as a pleasant surprise, not a total wash off. Not that I had to rushed to trauma center. In fact some bits were truly hilarious and if you don't have any better movie to watch you sure can go for this one. You'll come out happy.

I think all these movies were history. Guess should come up with more up to date information. i do have plans this weekend, let's see which movie it's gonna be. Please drop in suggestions. Till then, chao.

Be good and have a great weekend.

P.S. Do drop in requests if you want me to watch something and give you a review. Some word bout your taste and choice would help me better
